Moon's Crafts - Skadi, the Goddess of Winter Necklace

This a lovely pendant at 3 inches long. The depiction on the pendant is extensive pyrography of Skadi the Norse Winter Goddess. Skadi is a giantess and goddess in Norse mythology. She is the personification of the cold-hearted northern winter that can be touched only briefly by the warmth of the summer sun (Njord) and the cheerful hearth fire (Loki). She is also rumoured to have been mistress of Odin. Skadi is a no nonsense type of goddess, fiercely independent and happiest hunting in the mountains with her wolves. The depiction on the pendant shows Skadi with with her bow and arrows and her wolf. Above her head is a snowflake. The pendant is strung on waxed cotton cord and is accompanied with large crackle glass clear beads, black moonstone for the dark earth connection and psychic travelling, white jade helps with constructive decision making by filtering out wrong information and finally tibetan silver spirals as after all Skadi is a goddess of a season. Holly is actually a fire element wood but is also the wood of the warrior, strong, slender, protective and beautiful.
