Alder Fox

I believe I'm getting to grasp the symbolism and meaning of the wise fool - trickster .. I mean, who is who and why it is meant to be like that .. and thus pieces are being put in place. Magic works in a spark, but takes time to start a fire.

At the time of the Spring Equinox, the Alder is flourishing on riverbanks, roots in the water, bridging that magical space between both heaven and earth. Alder is the first fire-tree of the year. And the Alder Moon is the first full moon after the Vernal (Spring) Equinox, or Ostara. The Alder month, called Fearn by the Celts, and pronounced fairin, is a time for making spiritual decisions, magic relating to prophecy and divination, and getting in touch with your own intuitive processes and abilities. Alder flowers and twigs are known as charms to be used in Faerie magic. Whistles, pipes and flutes were once made out of Alder wood to call upon air spirits and water sprites as a charm against malevolent fairies. Since Alder lives where land and water meet, and that is always an access to the otherworld; spirit world; fae, Alder tree was believed to allow access into the faery realms. Here comes a loyal companion, a magical guide into the otherworld, a fire-red furry friend who has contacts on the other side of the hedge, a psychopomp, the seeker... A magician, storyteller and trickster. The Enchanter. The wise counselor of the childlike innocent, the fool who dares to disobey the conventional rules, breaks the stablished order (saboteur; carnivalesque), brings the necessary chaos for creation (trickster) and decides to run free for his or her own life (outsider) ........
I will run and run forever where the wild fields are mine.
