clustered flat flowerbuds that are pale pink maturing to rosy-red in August
then turning to rust-red in the fall. This versatile perennial is a perfect
filler plant for a sunny, well-drained spot. In the spring the new leaf buds

Tengo un disgusto con una de las plantitas que más tiempo lleva conmigo: el otro día le rompí un esqueje sin querer; era de noche, salí a la terraza, y deslumbrada del interior, no vi el tiesto con mi Autumn Joy dormitando junto a la pared.. Eché un cojín al suelo para sentarme a contemplar la noche junto a mi perro, y oí que el cojín no había caído sobre el terrazo.. Al encender el farolillo, comprobé con horrorosa sorpresa que había sido mi plantita sobre lo que había aterrizado.. Había un precioso esqueje tirado en el suelo :(
Lo he tenido en un vaso con agua en la cocina estos días, y me acabo de dar cuenta que, estando en su vasito de agua, ha seguido el mismo proceso que el resto de la planta en la terraza: están empezando a lanzar una especie de brotecillos o filamentos desde sus "brócolis". Entonces he pensado si tal vez mi Autumn Joy no se reproducirá por esquejes. Así que voy a investigarlo, y entonces la replantaría en una macetita para volver a verla crecer con alegría (joy) en otoño (Autumn) :')
